I assisted a class of 3rd and 4th graders for a Saturday Art Program that was taught by other ISU art education program educators. My tasks were to help assemble pieces that the student's had found in nature. I worked directly with the students one on one to assemble their works of art, as well as, discuss their creative choices.

I assisted two senior Art Education students at our annual HOIC conference which allows for high school students to explore ISU's campus and take on mini art-based workshops. I assisted a sewing class that focused on creating small pillows with students that had varying experiences with sewing.

A class of 3rd grade students were tasked with creating artworks that aligned with the principle of balance: symmetry. They were prompted to pick things in their lives that needed balanced, visually representing them, and lastly creating a work of art that uses symmetry to discuss that balance.

Two class of 6th grade students were tasked with creating works of art that focused on different methods of printing, such as gel printing, stamp cutting, and linoleum cutting. The students were prompted to focus on natural then man-made materials that expressed their interests. Additionally, the students were given the opportunity to display and organize their prints. Students were given powerpoint and artist handouts; See those below. These were the class favorites.
